The Vango Kela Air TC awning is packed full of improved features for 2024. The awning has been constructed from Vango’s brand-new Sentinel Eco TC fabric, which combines polyester from recycled bottles and environmentally woven and dyed cotton. The TC version is currently on available in the Low vehicle height (suitable for campervans within 180 – 210cm).
The polycotton material has huge benefits over standard polyester – the main one being is that the material is breathable, this means, on a hotter day it is a lot cooler inside the awning and on a colder day it is a lot warmer inside the awning. Another advantage is that moisture can pass through the material and so condensation is heavily reduced inside the Vango Kela Air TC. If you were planning a campervan trip and were interested in an awning in Europe, this would certainly be our number one suggestion.
Vango have also incorporated their patented ColourLok™ technology into the fabric to make the material more resistant to UV ray’s and so like the name suggests – holds the colour of the material for longer.
The Vango Kela Air TC comes with a fully sewn-in groundsheet, a large front door and side door that has been re-designed with a rain-safe canopy. The large front door can also be made into a front canopy with the optional Vango King Poles. Both doors come with full mesh panels to allow superb airflow throughout the awning without letting those pesky insects inside. The awning also features Vango’s SkyTrack System and comes with 10 x SkyHook’s included, this enables you to hang lanterns or fit storage pockets wherever best suits you throughout the Kela TC.
Vango Kela Air TC can be attached to your vehicle in a multitude of ways: 4mm / 6mm Kador Beading, Throw Over Straps, Velcro Tabs for Roof Racks or a sleeve so that a pole can be threaded through and clamped into a gutter. The Kela TC comes with two doors either side of the 1.35m deep tunnel section, which allows for easy access to your van without the need of having to got through the Kela every time.
The Kela has been so popular throughout the years and one of the main reason’s is because it is so easy to pitch. It consists of two pre-angled AirBeam’s that can be inflated within a matter of minutes with the supplied dual action hand pump – or to make life even easier, Vango do offer a 12V Zephyr awning pump.
Other features of the Kela Air TC awning include ultra clear Diamond Pro Windows and SkyLight’s that allow a great amount of light to pour into the living area, however zip-up curtains have been fitted for when privacy is needed on the campsite. A cable entry point allows you to neatly run cables into the awning to keep all your appliances powered. If you are holidaying with guests the Kela also comes with hanging points for a 2-berth inner tent.
